My Interview With Terry Kennedy

Me- Where were 

you when you were shot?

Terry-  A college party at Long Beach State.

Me- How long were you in the hospital? 

Terry- About a week

Me- When you recovered, was anything different?

Terry- My jaw was 

wired, I couldn't eat anything solid.

Me- Were you afraid for your life? Like they might try again..

Terry- Naw because it 

was just the wrong place at the wrong time

Me- Do you know who 

shot you?

Terry- I have an idea, but I don't know for sure

Me- Why do you think they shot you? 

Terry- Just wrong place at the wrong time. I guess u gotta be careful of ur surroundings. I just didn't think anything because it was a college party.

Me- Did you ever think you'd make it this far?

Terry- Never did I imagine I'd make it THIS far! My mom used to tell me I would be something BIG when I got older so I guess that was motivating for me to do something good for her.

Me- What motivates you everyday? 

Terry- Striving to be the BEST at what I do. Also my family, I'm like the main provider so I gotta work hard to take care of them. Also my faith in God.

Me- What were your parents name? 

Terry- Phyllis and Wayne

Me- Who raised you?

Terry- Well my dad left when I was 3 so he wasn't around and my mom passed away when I was 12. My grandma stepped in and was the mother figure for me.

Me- When did u meet Black Mike? 

Terry- I met him when I first got into skating, he lived around the corner. We would always skate together. So prob like 12 yrs ago

Me- When did he pass?

Terry- Black Mike passed April of 06.

Me- How? 

Terry- He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We all grew up in the heart of the ghetto of Long Beach. So it was dangerous being outside at night.....Foreal!! I guess some people where on the block shooting and Black Mike happened to be caught in the crossfire! Or so they say!!

Me- How did you cope with all of this going on? 

Terry- It was very hard for me. But my big homie Pharrell, flew me out to Virginia to be with him and hangout. He wanted to get my mind off what had happen and keep me off the streets.

Me- What was your first skate video featured in? 

Terry- I wanna say Element!

Me- How did u and HIT hook up with Spitta?

Terry- Me, HIT, and Fuzz met Currensy at a DC shoe party in hollywood. We exchanged info and soon enough we became Fly Society as a whole brand!!!

Me- When did u sign with Baker? 

Terry- Baker was my first sponcer, then I went over to Element. But now back at Baker. LOL

Me- Wasnt your birthday March 27th!?

Terry- May 27th is my b-day, u should know that LOL
